Soooooo...I have this thing for hot air balloons. I'm guessing I'm not totally alone in this obsession, so I thought I'd share how I made this mobile for my baby girls room. It started when I was looking to buy one and couldn't find one for under $35. That was just for one. (looking just barely, you can get one for $21 here) So I decided to create them myself...and I'm really not that crafty, so I'm confident you could do it too.
Here are the materials I used:
*ribbons
*twine
*hot glue gun
*little baskets
*(opt.) paint
*fishing wire
STEP ONE: I began by hot gluing the ribbons where I wanted them. (I was lucky enough to find the exact colors I wanted in the Walmart ribbon clearance box, so they were about $0.25 for both colors.
STEP TWO: I like to paint, so I painted some of the stripes with colors that I was already using for her bedroom decor.
STEP THREE: Then I simply attached the twine to the baskets that I had found at GoodWill (also for $0.25 each...except for the little tiny one which I made with a cardboard toilet roll wrapped in twine).
STEP FOUR: I then attached fishing wire to the tops and hung them with the Command decorating clips.
......And my daughter loves watching them slowly twirl!

Everyday of my life looks like this.
You know, it's crazy, because I'm not even a "baby person." (Baby person = someone who enjoys babies) I was always afraid I would brake them. And I was always told, "oh, it'll be different when it's your own." - and I didn't believe them. But alas, they were correct. It is different. MUCH different.
I thought I would resent my child for keeping me from a prestigious career and freedom...but instead, I WANT to stay inside and do nothing but cuddle her. It's so odd.
People have been asking if I've been craving anything, and i've been saying no.....but then it hit me. My obsession for cereal has been growing so sneakily that I didn't even notice how absurd the quantity of how much cereal I was intaking, till I found myself buying more and more and MORE cereal, and more and MORE and MORE milk. Yup. The struggle is real.
My Thoughts on the Importance of Family
All of my life I thought I wanted to be a working woman. I always thought of kids as sort of an inconvenience - something that could possibly get in the way of a real art career for me. But now that I’m carrying a little girl in my belly, I WANT to do everything I can to make space for her in my life. I WANT to make her a priority. It feels nice, and it feels right. I have still found a way that will allow me to maintain somewhat of an art career, but still be able to focus on my family. because family is so important to me.
I already feel more fulfilled…that my life has more purpose and depth. Doing something bigger…helping bring about a life! Once I have her, even if I don’t have all of the time in the world for my business, at least there is still a high purpose to my life - raising a child of God. It feels really nice. I feel really happy - even with the discomfort and difficulties of pregnancy..I find that I’m happier.
I know that family is central to God’s plan, and that when we follow God’s way, we are happier. I am really beginning to feel the truthfulness of that as I make changes in my life to allow more time for family.
MAKE SPACE FOR WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU
Here is a printable file of "The Family: A Proclamation to the World". It was given by a prophet of God, whom I truly believe receives direct revelation from God. If there is anything that bothers you in this document, pray about it. Ask your Heavenly Father if it is right, if it is true, and if it is something that you need to apply into your life. I know that He will answer, and He will direct you to how you can attain more joy in your life by living by his commandments. He loves you and wants you to be happy. This proclamation helps ensure that. Sometimes that means sacrificing something that you think you love, but you will find peace, and it will lead to eternal life and so many blessings.

Now, before you go off thinking this will be a quick
shopping expedition, know that it takes time to sort through this Schoola website.
The clothes are a little bit dated and some of them do look worn. Soooo I decided
to buy things for my baby girl, who is going to get spit up all over them anyways. :)
If you want to give it a try, here's how you do it :
Follow this link: FREE STUFF
create an account, and at check out you will get $20 for being referred by me.
Then create a "collection" and you'll receive $10 at checkout
BUT be sure to check that it's eligible for discounts, because many MANY of the items
aren't. Here's where you look :
What I found to work was to click on the "Condition" option on the left hand side of your search, and check the "good" box. This seemed to eliminate the in-eligible items.
So once you get to the check out, it should amount to zero if you choose free shipping,
and if all of your items qualify for discounts.
Good luck!
